Danube Day 2010 in Ukraine

Both the Danube and its younger sister, the Tisza, will be celebrated on Danube Day in Ukraine. Festivities will spread from the west to the south of the country; from close to the origins of the mighty Tisza River to the end of the mightier Danube. The village of Dilove in Zakarpattya, western Ukraine will once again take centre-stage for Tisza's Danube Day (25-27th June). Danube Delta events will focus on the problem of plastic pollution with a Clean Danube campaign in Vilkove, Kiliya and Izmail (15th June - 20th July). Two Danube Art Master competitions will take place - in the Upper Tisza and Lower Danube regions. Read on to find out what is happening near you.
