In the last four years, thousands of children have created over 13,000 artworks in an attempt to become the 'Danube Art Master' for their country. The huge diversity of artworks created is a true reflection of the richness of the Danube Basin. Since the first competition in 2004, sculptures, pictures, mosaics and collages made from reeds, stones, driftwood, paints and also rubbish have lined rivers banks throughout the region. Prizes have included a sightseeing trip to Vienna; appearance at the Danube Countries' Ministerial Meeting in 2004 and an environmental tour in Hungary. See some of the entries below for inspiration for 2008!
