Olomouc: Danube Day festivities and Ty Syčáci concert (25 June 2010; 14:00)

A great rivers day for all the family. Join in with environmental games and learn about rivers and the creatures that inhabit them at a workshop for children aged 4-13 years (14:00-17:00). Find out more about rivers and environmental protection at our information tent (14:00-17:00) or from expert lectures on the myriad of life found in urban rivers (17:00-18:00). Afterwards, you can join in a debate on rivers (and the Morava in particular) between town officials, NGOs, water authorities and engineers (18:15-19:30). To round off the day, Ty Syčáci will get everyone in a party mood with their mad blend of rock, jazz, Moravian folklore and world music.

Danube Art Master schools competition (April-May 2010)

Overseen by the Danube Environmental Forum and organised in the Czech Republic by the Union for the Morava River, the Danube Art Master competition is a creative extravaganza that challenges every pupil in the Basin to create a piece of environmental art inspired by their local river. The only rules are that you should be as creative as possible and think about what the Danube means to you.
