The
spirit of celebration will reach across Ukraine on Danube Day: from the west to
the south; from close to the origins of the mighty Tisza to the end of the even
mightier Danube; from villages nestled in the rugged mountain landscape of the
Carpathians to urban areas in the Delta flatlands. Celebrations will take place
in Rakhiv in western Ukraine and Izmail in the Danube Delta.
