Reviews of Danube Day 2004 - 2007

Danube Day 2007 saw fun and festivities across the Danube River Basin, on the theme of "Celebrating Danube Cultures". Continuing the trend for Danube Day to just get bigger and better, the celebrations increased and built on the success of 2006, when a massive 400 organisations spread the Danube Day message, doubling 2005's efforts, which itself built on the very first Danube Day of 2004! See Review 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 for details.

The ICPDR launched “Danube Day” on June 29th 2004 to celebrate 10 years of cooperation between governmental and non-governmental bodies, scientific institutions and industries, following the signing of the Danube Convention in 1994. It has since become a fixed event in the calendars of ministers and water organisations throughout the basin. The ICPDR works closely with the Danube Environmental Forum (DEF), International Association for Danube Research (IAD), Global Water Partnership (GWP), WWF, Alcoa Foundation and businesses such as Coca-Cola.
